GAVROCHE TASTING SESSIONS PRESENTS

A Rum, Fromage & Charcuterie Masterclass

France and Australia share a history of rum that, while not widely known, is an integral part of their culinary and cultural stories. Parisian bistro Gavroche and Sydney-based rum distillers, Brix, are joining forces to showcase this deeply nuanced spirit in a building that literally was built on rum’s foundations, the Old Rum Store.

The Gavroche Tasting Sessions Presents: a Rum, Fromage & Charcuterie Masterclass!

Brix was born out of a love for rum, and they are here to show you the qualities and subtleties of this incredibly underrated drink. They’ll take you through how rum is made, how to food match, and share a few of the swashbuckling tales of one of the world’s great spirits. This event is also the first public showing of their much anticipated French Agricole-style rum “Urban Cane”.

While sipping on several different styles of rum, graze on Gavroche’s impressive selection of imported French fromage and house-made charcuterie. Gavroche has earned a reputation as producing the best charcuterie in town as all of their products are made in-house, using local produce, free-range pork, and centuries-old traditional French techniques. Gavroche’s passionate chefs will talk you through the cheeses, and of course how their charcuterie is made from scratch. Taste how each rum responds to the flavours of France!

This fabulous experience will be educational, delicious, and a whole lot of fun.
